Services

AYC provides counselling, social, educational and recreational services for young people between 12 to 24 years old, who live, study or frequent the Auburn Local Government Area. AYC receives core funding from NSW Department of Community Services.

AYC provides a range of programs and activities for young people. Some of these are:

Drop In - A safe and supervised space where young people can come to relax, play games (pool, PS2, Internet, Table Football, Table Tennis) , socialise and have fun.

Girls Day - Thursday afternoons are a girls only space at AYC. There is access to games and computers, also activities including art, craft and girly stuff.

Homework Assistance - Young people can come in for help with any study or research. Professional tutors are on hand to provide assistance and supervision.

Youth Work - AYC has a full-time youth case worker able to provide support and advocacy.

Adolescent and Family Counselling - AYC has a full-time Counsellor. Young people are able to access confidential personal and family counselling by appointment. To speak directly with the counsellor please call (02)9749 2321.

Newly Arrived Youth Support Service - AYC provides casework assistance for young people aged 12-21 who have resided in Australia for less than 5 years.

Newly Arrive Pathways (NAP) - Assitance with education and employment pathways for newly arrived young people.

Blu Corner GymAYC has a gym program in which young people can exercise and access information about health and fitness.

School Holiday Program - During the school holidays AYC runs excursions and activities
